Online Customer Service and Alternatives

AZGFD offers many of the services online that you might otherwise transact in person. Our goal is to provide citizens with a more convenient and efficient means in which to interact with AZGFD. If at any time you choose not to proceed with a transaction offered through the AZGFD website, your choice will in no way affect your ability to receive benefits or services. If you prefer to apply for benefits or services in person, you may do so at an AZGFD office.

Collection and Use of Information

If you visit our website, your web browser automatically sends us information. We may use “cookies” in order to gather information during your visit and customize this site for return visits. You are NOT required to accept any cookies to use this site. The web server that hosts the AZGFD website gathers certain information about the visit automatically in a standard log file. The FOLLOWING information IS RETAINED AND does not identify you personally:

We also use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of the site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP Address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other personal identifying information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie can only be used by Google Analytics. Google Analytics has a Terms of User and Privacy Policy that restricts the use of the information collected. Advertisements on the AZGFD.gov Website

The Arizona Game & Fish Department’s website displays advertisements based on what the Department believes its users want to see. All advertisements will go through an approval process before they are posted to the website.

From time to time, depending on the vendor, we may show you ads based on your location (based on your current IP address), what your interests are (based on interest information you have provided the Department) or what your previous searches were. Third Party Disclosure

Third party organizations contracted with AZGFD may provide certain services available on the behalf of AZGFD. Personal information collected through the web portal and/or over-the-counter may be provided to third party service providers to help the state deliver benefits and services. The state will take prudent steps to ensure that third-party organizations are obligated to secure and protect personal information on AZGFD behalf.

Information Collected from Children

AZGFD and its consultants, as developer and manager of the AZGFD website, have taken several steps to safeguard the integrity of its computer systems and networks. Security methods and measures have been integrated into the design, implementation and day-to-day practices of the entire AZGFD website.
