Arizona Game and Fish is in the process of developing the OHV course that will be required for purchase of a decal pursuant to this year’s legislation. More information to come.

Off-highway vehicle (OHV) decal purchase or renewal

All OHVs designed by the manufacturer primarily for use over unimproved terrain, and weigh 2,500 pounds or less, are required by law to display a valid Arizona OHV decal to operate on public and state trust lands in Arizona.

Required for residents and non-residents.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department became involved with off-highway vehicle (OHV) recreation in 1972 when legislation was passed that gave the Arizona Game and Fish Commission the authority to approve and expend funds to identify habitat damage, provide education and provide law enforcement for OHV-related activities.
