Just for Educators: Native Fish Workshop
The Arizona Game and Fish Department, in collaboration with the Martins Lab at Arizona State University, invites educators to a unique professional development opportunity focused on fish biology and aquatic resource management. Held on-site at the Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery near Payson, this immersive workshop will give participants a firsthand look at fish conservation efforts in our state.
Educators will tour the hatchery with knowledgeable staff to learn about fish production and management, participate in engaging, classroom-friendly activities that enhance science instruction, and reflect on their learning while discussing how to apply new concepts in their teaching. Attendees will also receive ready-to-use resources and materials to bring back to their classrooms.
Participants will receive numerous resources and a certificate for at least 6 hours of professional development credit.
Register here for this FREE in-person professional development workshop.
